Teaching Philosophy
When approaching teaching as a clinical supervisor or educator, Lisa Peredia's focus is on a grace-filled and compassionate approach. She aims to teach academic understanding while exploring barriers within the personal therapist that can inhibit their clinical growth. In doing so, Lisa has found a balance of educational and experiential growth through grace and understanding. Though Lisa believes in a compassionate approach, she also applies consistency in positive and constructive feedback that are essential to growth for the student and therapist. Lisa also believes she would be providing a disservice if she could not speak truth in love to in the growth of a student or therapist.
